Project: SA Intermodal Owner: Union Pacific Railroad General Contractor: SpawGlass Contract Amount: $1,339,000
This project showcases our ability to perform unique and challenging work. This project involved the installation of over 14,000 feet of underground polypropylene compressed air piping. Additionally, two separate compressor stations were built and installed to supply the air for recharging the freight car air brakes along the railroad tracks at the junction. Project: Ft. Sam BRAC Health Clinic Owner: USACOE General Contractor: Satterfield & Pontikes Project Amount: $6,308,000
At Aerohead, we have a long list of successful projects working with the Army Corps of Engineers. Our expertise working with the federal government was on display during the construction of this 170,000 square foot primary care health care facility. This project required a chilled water/hot water system and all plumbing. Showcasing our flexibility, Aerohead finished the project on a 4 month accelerated schedule at the request of the owner. Project: UTSA Combined Sciences Owner: UT OFPC General Contractor: Gilbane Contract Amount: $5,955,000
Aerohead demonstrated our ability to install extremely complex systems on this project. Here we installed two Tier 1 research laboratories, with a wash down perchloric acid exhaust system and a hydrochloric acid exhaust system. The labs also required three independent pure water systems as well as acid waste systems. The labs were supplied by a central plant featuring a two story state of the art energy recovery system. This 300,000 square foot, 1,200 man dormitory displays Aerohead’s ability to handle larger projects with the utmost skill and attention to detail. This project required over 1,600 plumbing fixtures as well as a penthouse mechanical room with the latest energy efficient HVAC equipment and controls. Building central plants showcases Aerohead’s experience with first class water pipe installations. Here we built a 1,200 ton capacity central plant complete with 24 inch diameter condenser water pipe installed under a road to the cooling towers.
